REVIEWS

“An easy-to-read, unbiased overview of food and nutrition. Hugely enjoyable and engaging. You Don’t Have To be a Treehugger To Be a Vegan is a must read for anyone who cares about their health and what they eat. I never knew that Albert Einstein, Benjamin Franklin and Leonardo da Vinci were vegetarians!”
--- Robert Shrifter, M.D.

“Prepare to be entertained. You Don’t Have To be a Treehugger To Be a Vegan is insightful, objective and informative- a light-hearted look at diet and health. I never knew that salmon had more cholesterol than a double cheeseburger.”
--- Adrienne Harper, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

“I had always thought about how great it would be to become either vegetarian or vegan. But when a dripping slab of meat was put in front of me, I thought I could never really do that... then I ate the entire thing. At the end of the meal, it was back to "you know, I should really go vegan". So, the title of this book got me curious and I picked up a copy. I was sucked in from the first chapter. I learned as much as I was entertained. Now, I am a vegan. I feel better, I look better, and most importantly, I wasn't badgered into it. This book helped me make the decision myself. I hope this is not the last that we hear from Dan Vishny.

“If you're vegan, or thinking about becoming one, this is your most valuable resource! Dan Vishny has taken a terrifically light-hearted and to-the-point approach to showing the way to better nutrition. He doesn’t waste time sermonizing, building arguments, or utilizing fads. On the contrary, this is the most practical and concise guide that vegans need to help build a well-balanced lifestyle. The style is so approachable that you would think that it was your buddy coaching you along the path to good health. It’s worth its weight in tofu.”
--- Adam Hechtman, Director of Microsoft Technology Center, Microsoft Corporation, Chicago, IL

“I want to thank you for your book: it's the first time a book about food made me smile and it all makes so much sense. It got me ready to start as soon as I finished reading it.
--- Annick, from Belgium

"Let's see...so far I am hooked on popcorn/Bragg's/nutritional yeast. That has become my favorite snack, and thanks to the Bragg's, the popcorn does not give me a sugar low. Your Mexicali chili was the bomb, and I am making the vegan lasagna tonight. I am pretty much off dairy, except when I need a cup of Joe while travelling and soy milk is not an option. I tried the maple syrup, but it was way too sweet for me. Guess I will have to carry my own soy milk and creamer when I go on your 30 day plan. Avoiding dairy has been a remarkable discovery. I have always had sinus problems and I am actually breathing through my nose again, even while I sleep, and it is wonderful! Absolutely wonderful! I didn't realize how good I was breathing until I slipped and had an egg- cheese quesadilla the other day on the plane. (It was the only meal left and I was starving!) Literally within 15 minutes my sinuses clogged and I noticed a huge difference in my airways. Weird thing is, the quesadilla didn't have that much cheese on it, but enough to affect me."
--- Rhonda Bostock

"I truly enjoyed reading the book. I thought the book had a nice balance between education and humor- I learned a lot and laughed a lot. "
--- Allison Fine, Clinical Director, Mirasol, Tucson, AZ

"This book made me rethink my eating habits and provided dietary answers that will go a long way. You Don't Have to be a Treehugger To Be a Vegan is a must read for anyone who is tired of fad diets and disappointing results."
--- Marc Muchnick, Ph.D.
Co-author of the Wall St. Journal Bestseller “The Leadership Pill”
Chief Motivation Officer - People First Group, LLC

"The book has an easy to follow core message that gets delivered without preaching. I especially enjoyed the humor and interesting facts sprinkled throughout. I changed my diet so I eat vegan 5 out of every 6 meals. I've lost weight, but more importantly I feel great. I can't wait to get my next soy latte!"
--- Malcolm Hodge, Vice President

"I got the book last night and I immediately started reading, even before doing my homework! I couldn't put it down though, and now I'm about half finished. It's a very easy read, and I LOVE it, so far. It's definitely not the typical diet book, and I love how you throw in the jokes and funny comments. The comics don't hurt either. I'm not saying I'm going to be a vegan, but it's definitely something to think about. You made me feel bad when I was making my lunch, so instead of my usual roast beef and cheese sandwich, with chips, cookies, and Pepsi, I made a tuna sandwich with strawberry apple sauce, banana, and water. It was just as good."

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR

This book is lighthearted, non-preachy, easy-to-read, and informative all at the same time. It took twelve years in the making. This book may change your life in a small way or in a big way- but it will change you in some way, shape or form. The worst thing that could happen to you by reading this book is that you laugh a lot and learn some interesting facts about food. The best thing that could happen to you is that you try the easy 30-day program and it changes your life. The choice is yours, but make an informed choice.

When it comes to your health, you are the only expert.

All the best.
